Energy Efficiency Audits (EEA) – white certificates

Voluntary energy efficiency audit, thanks to which each entrepreneur can obtain additional financing for the planned pro-saving project.

Energy efficiency certificates, i.e. white certificates are a mechanism that stimulates and forces pro-saving behavior. Energy efficiency certificates are issued for the energy effect obtained as a result of the implementation of the modernization project.

Certificates are granted on the basis of applications submitted to the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO). Each application must be accompanied by an energy efficiency audit of the project to be implemented in your organization.

For what activities can you get white certificates?

• Projects to improve energy efficiency in the field of insulation of industrial installations, e.g. insulation of heating pipelines, tanks, boilers, flue gas ducts, turbines, inlet gas purification devices, industrial fittings, heat exchangers, heating furnaces, replacement of insulation layers in furnaces, thermal insulation of systems transport of technological media within the industrial process, etc. 
• Projects in the field of reconstruction or renovation of the building together with installations and technical devices, including thermo-modernization and renovation projects:
• insulation of walls, ceilings, floors, foundations, roofs
• modernization or replacement of windows and doors, skylights, entrance gates
• installation of window shading devices
• modernization of the heating system or domestic hot water preparation system
• elimination of thermal bridges
• modernization of the ventilation system
• modernization of the ventilation system
• installation of measurement and control devices, automation as part of the implementation of energy management systems
• reconstruction or renovation of a public utility building

When it concerns:

• Any entrepreneur who plans to invest in the area of pro-efficiency projects, e.g. replacement of pumps, fans or other devices, replacement of a section of an ineffective heating network with a new pre-insulated network, replacement of lighting with energy-saving, etc.
• If the entrepreneur has carried out an energy efficiency audit, which shows that the planned project (or a group of activities of the same type) to improve energy efficiency indicates energy savings equal to or greater than 10 tonnes of oil equivalent (toe) per year on average, which means over 116, 3 MWh / year or 418.68 GJ / year).
